At least not to me. But it is interesting how much detail nature has put into his body. I believe he is a grasshopper, or is he a cricket? I would, once again, so much appreciate your comments and helpful suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Grass hopper, and a well photographed one at that, good work. Cool design on his leg.

Posibly you could have stopped down a bit more to have all of it in focus. Would that have hurt the nice background Lynn?

What is in focus is nice and sharp Lynn. My advice would be to try to get the bug parallel with the sensor. That way the whole bug would be sharply focused. He does posses a beauty of his own.

Nearly impossible to get all in focus (parallel to plane of sensor). A great photo.

Very nice, Lynn! Tough to get everything in focus on a macro shot, but I agree with Tim and Morris' suggestions.

An excellent image, Lynn.
I don't do any macro work, so the only time I see magnified views of bugs is when I look at other photog's macro work. I am often startled at the beauty of insects. And their sometimes ferocious looks, also.
Your shot reveals a lot of beauty in these destructive creatures.

Hi Lynn

These grasshoppers are like they are dressed up in suits of armor, so many little bits of cool texture and patterns to enjoy. Will agree that getting these parallel to the image sensor make for great tip to tail sharpness, if you can't get them parallel then concentrate on shooting from the eye looking back and make that eye pinpoint sharp for a very cool effect.
Exposure and presentation of colors is very pleasing

Karl
