p.1 #1 · Auto ISO Question on EM-5

I am getting ready to use my EM5 for some indoor concerts and had a question on using auto ISO. I have set the minimum and maximum ISO settings in the menu and wondered is there a way that I can set a minimum shutter speed. I want to use aperture priority but can't find a way to set a minimum shutter speed. Thanks

Nope.

Typically, though, the camera seems to attempt to maintain 1/FLequiv even with autoISO and IS on, so you might be okay just going with Av mode if that gives you a good enough shutter speed.

You might also consider just going manual if the concert lighting isn't changing around too much.

The minimum flash sync speed seems somehow tied to min shutter speed in Auto ISO, and it might take into account manually set FL for IBIS settings.

Here's a good explanation on how to set up auto iso:

Thanks everyone. I made the change on the flash sync speed and we will see how it does. Thanks again.

p.1 #6 · Auto ISO Question on EM-5

I generally use Auto ISO the same way I do flash. With flash I use manual mode, set aperture and shutter speed, and let the flash adjust the light. Same setup with Auto ISO but let Auto ISO effectively "adjust the light." The difference, of course, is that Auto ISO works well within a more narrow range than the flash, so you have to put more thought into your settings.
