Color is useful only if there is something colorful that they're wearing, or color in the background, isn't it? The first girl looks "too desaturated" for me.
I think i disagree with you about colour... the world is full of beautiful muted tones, and many photography techniques take advantage of that. Not a favourite of mine, but sepia really had it's time
However, i'm quite open that the first images might look better in b&w as you suggest. I'll revisit them and see how they turn out. Good suggestion.

Thank you! That's ok.. i'm wasn't sure what he meant by 'typical' armpit shot. Some people really like to stick to certain rules and visible armpits can be a no-no. But i'm generally cool with armpit shots as long as the camera isn't looking straight into it. Thanks again!
