I shoot the d7000 with 300mm F4 for birds in flight.
Anyone shoot BIF with the D600 and similar lens?
I would have to crop 50% in order to get similar reach in FX.
Would it be as sharp and less noise?
I realize fps are not that fast.
You were questioning that the FPS's of the D600 were not that fast. I was just pointing out that it's faster than the D700 non-gripped. It's a half a frame per second slower than your D7000.

Ok.
My main concern is if I have to crop far away birds in full frame by 50% to get equal to fx, will it be better or worse than my D7000

Me too, BUT I also shoot the D800 in DX mode...and it's better.
On paper they might be too close to call but my eyes bug out with the results
I'm now seein' using the D800. Any chance of changin' the 6 to an 8
