The northwest section of the national park- at 7-8000 feet elevation.
Autumn comes early, and there are some pockets of aspens that try hard to turn red.
Or at least tinged with orange.
Although gold is good .

I did some exploring on the dirt roads in the northern part of the national park (the 8-10,000 foot plateau), and groves of aspen were abundant. Most weren't particularly photogenic, but I found several that I thought were.

In this image you have light transmission through the leaves, whereas in your other post you have predominantly light reflection off of the leaf surface. The light transmission seems to yield a more brilliant, saturated color and emphasizes the lighter colored leaves, which have greater transmission. Nice comparison.
