I spent all of last week on a trip to Acadia National Park (for the first time). What an awesome place - I didn't want to leave by the end. I took the first two shots right on the eve of Hurricane Sandy on 10/28 - I was expecting fog in the morning and wasn't disappointed. By the time I got down to Otter Cliffs for the 2nd shot, the wind had really picked up and the waves were really crashing.
I wish I could've extended my trip by another day to revisit "Thunder Hole" to actually hear it thunder from the hurricane-force waves, too bad I had to miss it.... But of course I was lucky to catch my flight back home later in the day (from Boston no less).
I agree with Mike... lovely series. I like your choices in the 2nd photograph of Monument Cove and the shore looking back toward Sand Beach. Was just there yesterday as Sandy said hello... waves were HUGE!
