Great work. Both the foreground and the sky compliment the main subject. Most of the shots I have seen at this place lack strong foreground features.

Hello Ben, part of the image quality can be attributed to the two image stack I got using a bit of tilt with the TS-E 17mm to get two images, then merged together.

I use that lens on my 1ds-mk3. Great lens. Probably better than my camera. I suspect there is some edge and corner issues on UWA shots that are sensor related (angle of light). Thats why I wanted to see a 1DX.
I love the way the grass looks here, especially the lower corners.
Really great shot... I have been out there and done those Painted Hills... it's so easy to have the sky blow out in the distant hills, you really got a great set of moody clouds there that sets this one off, good job.
