p.1 #1 · Canon 5DIII photo rotation and portrait photos

I was taking a lot of portrait photos but when viewing on back of camera they display ok but they are small to fit portrait on landscape screen. I changed the auto rotate to off and on camera I got the desired result of displaying the photo full screen and then I just turn the camera to view.
The issue was I then imported the photos onto iPad and the photos are displayed laying on their sides and the rotating the iPad causes the photo to rotate.
Is there a camera setting that will give what I want on camera and on iPad?

I'm not sure about a camera setting, but couldn't you just lock the screen on your iPad so it wouldn't rotate the picture?

Actually there is a camera setting to do that. Choose auto rotate for computer but not for camera review.
