thats $539 w/ a NDP300 HVPP. and it should and will outperform it when it comes to high output repeated use. you see when one doesn't understand the product/usage and what you are getting one can become very confused on cost vs value.
the HVPP from Nikon (SD9) is a fairly low order device even compared to what i referred to as "homemade" feel nissin pack (approx pricing in the $300+ range ref B&H) is still a better overall product with higher output/control/features vs $189 battery pack. the nikon is a backup but not a primary product by any means. in reality it is very pricey for its construction and function.
even the case was just a little better thought out. no the flash unit only comes with the single soft dome, but it can remain on the flash unit in the case due to the velcro false bottom which can drop out and allow the extra room.
