Looks like an interesting team and I like the image.
It raises questions and the factory sure looks different from european ones. Well done, Alan.

Alan,
Ah- knowing what I'm looking at is always a great help to me .
And I like this for a couple of reasons- one of which is the way the work station has been designed. Hang the panels so high that the workers have to stand on elevated platforms to do their jobs. Makes a lot more sense that hanging them lower so the inspectors can stand on the floor.
Of course, there might be a valid reason; but I don't see it .
But China isn't the only place where silly basic decisions are made. At every major car repair facility and quality car wash I've been to, my car is always moved around by the employee with the shortest legs- and they never readjust the seat when they're done. If I'm not careful, I can chip a tooth with my knee because they've moved the seat so close to the steering wheel.
I even have to click START when I want to stop my computer.
Stupid management can be found everywhere, I guess .

Thanks Chris and thanks Charlie.

I do agree with your sentiments Charlie, although there is a degree of logic behind what you see. The panels or doors you see hanging are all different sizes and could be upto two metres (6 feet tall) so the workers elevate themselves instead of lowering the doors which is not possible.
