Here are two variations on #1 that I find interesting...certainly not to everyone's taste, I am sure.

Thanks for posting...

Bob

Play with Color Efex Pro 4

Play with silver Efex Pro 2 "pinhole" preset

Thanks for looking Bob. This is brand new for me, have no idea what I am doing. I sit my camera at small jpg and just used the file from the camera after downsizing.

Those no dumping signs are next to every culvert, I could have found a more pristine one to do.

I will try a B&W next time.

Hey, this sign has character. Shoot and post color, if a BW conversion is necessary we can get there

I imagine it is an uncomfortable experience, I've found insight comes along and, sometimes it just ain't there, no matter how much we want it to be. But, we're not shooting and developing film so the cost is zero for all practical purposes - only cost is the time and fun of using a camera, computer, and software.

How many images have you seen of a leaf resting on a wet asphalt surface? I'll bet plenty - how many times have we "seen" that same image yet not really "seen" it? I'll bet plenty. Every now and then we discover one such image on our own - that is what makes it fun and a challenge. Think I need a beer.

regards,

Bob

Ben, nice to see something different. You did a nice job with the images and I like Bob's re-works except the B/W has a little too much vignette for my taste but it's all subjective and personal preference.
