Long time from posting. After the birth of my son I have been very busy with non-photography business.

Yesterday, the sky was beautiful here in San Clemente and my TS-Es were begging me to get out of the house...
I finally took some time and headed to the beach. It was fun until my camera locked on me. Most buttons were unresponsive even removing the battery and resetting the camera. Luckily I was able to take a few shots and would like to share them with you. Even without taking many pictures, it was fun to watch the sunset.

A real shame about the camera. Disuse makes everything rusty, I guess.

Congrats Fred. Exciting times. #1 is my favorite. Light in the foreground seaweeds and the drama in the sky make the shot.

Hey Fred,

Sweet shots here, #1 especially really works well. That's a drag about the camera, it had probably gotten lazy sitting around and was protesting in it's own special way.

I like them all, great stuff.

My 1DS-mk3 has exhibited the same symptoms at least twice until I figure out that I have pushed the remote to the bulb position. Never use it that way other than by accident so when it happens, it takes a while to figure it out. I have removed/exchanged batteries, changed lenses looked for a stuck mirror. Usually the light is gone before its fixed.

Funny that I tried the camera the next day and could not replicate the issue I had in the field where the playback, zoom and live view buttons were not working even after trying all known tricks..

The seaweed you posted doesn't look like what we Koreans and Japanese eat...
But you presented wonderful pictures.
#1 is my favorite! Nice composition and lovely colors!
Clouds are coming to meet the seaweed to dance with!!

I know what you mean. I had locked the remote in bulb position once before thinking something was wrong with the camera.

This time was different though. None of the camera buttons would work, except shutter speed and aperture since I was in manual mode. It is intriguing that I cannot replicate the issue with the same lens...weird.

Number 1 is really solid and Number 3 is a lovely yet simple composition. Very well composed shot. Would like 2 more but the weed is a bit cut off at the bottom of the frame and I keep noticing that.
