Very cool shot, Ben. Might try to tone down the reflection from the sky a tad. Seems to distract somewhat from the main focus of the image, and the swirly pattern of the leaves.

Hey Ben,

Sweet shot. Love the moving leaves in this. I agree with Ed, toning down the reflection of the sky in the water just a bit would be a nice touch. It's still a great shot, but that would be a nice small touch for this.

well, i will say the reflection looks fine for me

my suggestion would be a WB blend on teh rocks, get them back to a more neutral rendition.
otherwise i love this sort of thing, just a shame we dont have that sort of water course near by.

Thanks for the input all! I did tone the reflection down some. I guess I should try to bring it down a little more.

Thanks Simon. Not quite sure what you mean by a more natural rendition. Could you elaborate? The near rock wall is pretty much covered with various mosses (most of which are borderline brown from dryness) and lichen. The far wall is predominately brown with red tones. All light on the scene is filtered through a yellow canopy. This does look pretty accurate to what I saw (aside from the reduced glare from a polarizer).

Another nice shot. As with the other thread I find the image to be a little flat or too even contrast throughout. If you sit back and close one eye and blur your vision the images disappears. There is no light and shadow depth. Is this HDR?

A suggestion could be to darken the rocks and lighten up the water and leaves to create some more depth.

I love the colours, composition and shutter speed but the lack of depth due to processing is my only nit.

I have reworked this some per comments. I've darkened the walls on both sides up and toned down the sky reflections in the water. Does this work better?
