Got to the spot I wanted for abut 5:30 knowing sunset was going to be around 6:45. I had a blast capturing some great images, I hope you agree.

Trevor,

Great photos, I really like the last 4 I am biased to the night photos, well done. What did you shoot the tight shots with??

Shane

PS: there is a big dust spot in photo 7, I would definitely band aid that out and repost that photo

Very nice. I'm also biased on night photos, however, I think I like #5 the best. How were the mosquitos?

The last photo is also my favorite, however I am curious about the exposure? I think its a really ling exposure since the reflections are so drawn out, however you can see the texture in the water still.

I'm partial to the night shots since I'm a sucker for night photography. I do agree with Shane that you should clone out the dust spot in #7. But otherwise, very nice series!

Guys,

First thanks for the comments, given the folks commenting I am flattered.

I must have posted the draft for number 7 as the spot was not there after editing When I get home I will zap the dust spot and fire it back up.

To answer some questions:

1) Tight shots were with the Sigma 120-300 on a D700, all others were shot with the Sigma 24-70 on the D700. Everything was at f8 or greater...

2) Exposure time for the last photo was 10 seconds. I set the exposure compensation to -2 and then brought it back in Photoshop.

3) The mosquitoes were a non issue, however the people wanting to pack in to the great spot I had made up for the lack of bugs.......

Not bad, take care of the noise and dirty sensor and you will be golden
