Has any one used this before? Is it secured enough?

I'm looking for something similar to this, to distribute the weight to the belt (Think Tank belt maybe) instead of the shoulders and neck. I still want to have the cameras attached to the usual straps though.

Regardless of whether it is strong enough, how heavy is your camera + lens? I've been looking into similar carry mechanisms (PeakDesigns Camera Capture comes to mind) but it seems like a longish lens would pull awkwardly on your belt and inhibit range of motion.

That said, the actual belt loop threading is probably superior for mounting (compared to the camera capture), but neither solution in my opinion provides the stability that's really needed to hold a camera in place without it bobbing too much.

Spider holster is excellent especially with heavy cameras and lenses.
