Such a pretty airplane. I was working on my private pilot license at Kadena Airbase in Okinawa, Japan, and 4 of these things were waiting at the hammerheads to marshall before departure. I took off in front of them in the Liberty XL-2 and the controller said, "Traffic, 4 F-22s departing runway 5 right, climbing over you"... it was a little scary because they didn't have me in sight

What an awesome aircraft. I saw my first one up close this year at the Fort Wayne Air National Guard (Blacksnakes) air show. All images Except "Burner ON" taken with a 1DS III and the new Sigma 50-500 OS Lens. "Burner ON" was with the Sigma on a 7D.

From 07 F22 Raptor, P51 Mustang, F-15 Eagle, and A-10 Warthog. They formed up right after the F-15 demo and I did not get my shutter speed down far enough and froze the prop.
