Glacier serves up a variety of photographic opportunities. I had to stretch the limits of my lens, but still enjoy the shot. Some technique improvements would be helpful for sharpness, but, I'm not unhappy with the photo. They seemed quite content to be the subject of my curiosity.
**edit** This is a 70-200 IS USM with a 2xII on a tripod. The glass was fully stretched out.
p.1 #14 · Mountain Goats Chillin' on the Edge. . .
This was on the east side, at Logan's Pass. Pretty much at the trail head. This was shot on the 20th of September.
They had closed the Going to the Sun road, at Avalanche, about 12 miles in on the west side, so we drove around to the east. From there you could go to the pass, but that was the limit.
The West side is nice, especially if you love trees. Lots of trees. The East side is more open and expansive, rugged and. . .I can't actually find any real words to express it. I just felt very small and insignificant. More so than in my first marriage.
