It depends on what you want from a picture, doesn't it. I prefer to isolate any subject from distractions when I can, because it's what comes first, then the context. For ease of the visual pleasure of examination of nature's structure. Here, to my eye, the subject is strikingly confused with the stem behind it and the noise around it.
The other stem behind that makes a big X centred behind the subject, which is itself too centred. And the blur of something too close to the lens bottom right makes it look like you just snapped it on the run when in fact you have complete control of it, it's not going to run away.
I bet you can do better.
