Without a doubt, the D600 sensor blows away any and all of the mirrorless APS-C sensors, including the Sony NEX-7, the Fujifilm X-Pro1, the Olympus E-M5. Not even close.
I don't know why he even bothers making the first page public. It says almost nothing and certainly doesn't entice me to purchase a subscription, especially at the prices he asks.
But, I must admit a great admiration for his ability to make money at it, assuming that he does.
His website is all he does. He drives a Porsche Cayenne and has nice toys. I think he's doing alright.
Really though, if you've got the income to support it, his subscription service offers some of the best gear related articles out there. He's squarely aimed at the well healed and those who wish they were market.
I've got a beter idea, everyone pitch in and donate money to me so I can buy all the new camera gear, and I'll tell you how awesome it is and how it performs better than non-competing gear
Hey, if we don't want to pay Lloyd for his professional advice, there's also a well known camera pundit with a growing family, who turns up in any Google search for Nikon equipment, whose free advice is worth exactly what we pay for it

I agree, it is very thorough, and for me it is worth the money
+1
Lloyd is one of the few reviewers that actually tests the equipment he writes about, rather than just paraphrasing the manufacturers' advertising literature.
However, I suspect some people here would get upset by his reviews, because he does criticize Nikon from time to time...

If there's a problem with anything he does not sugar coat it.
There have been plenty of things Nikon has not done well and without high profile people like Lloyd, Michael Reichmann, etc... calling them out on it, things may never change.
I subscribe, but I have been letting my subscriptions drop as the expiration dates pass. I recently care less to listen to Lloyd blow up the latest gear to the pixel level and expound his infinite wisdom on why the gear makes it into his inner circle or is cast overboard. Blah.... If I see one more dead tree sharpness example my eyes will bleed.
Does he do any articles on photography rather than gear?
Like his photos are pretty nice, I'd be more inclined to read about how he shoots rather than what he thinks about the latest Canikon.
Yes, I realise he's a Zeiss and Leica aficionado as well...
I don't subscribe but it looks interesting from the outside. I was thinking that site could be the best informational site out there to read because of all the tests. I notice the Zeiss and Leica focus too. I certainly don't want to go out and dump all my Nikon bodies and lenses for a Leica rangefinder nor for Voightlander MF lenses, even when I do get rich. It would be very interesting to know what the best actually is but I have a feeling that all lenses have their own unique characteristics, no matter their price or heritage.
Why should I listen to someone else's opinions? If I really need to know whether or not a piece of hardware equipment will work for my needs, such as low-light sports, low-light events, video, portrait, landscape, etc, I would either rent it or buy it to make my own judgement and form my own opinions. Perhaps that's just me.
