Tried out my D600 at 50 ISO today, I'm impressed. This was taken with the 50-135mm f3.5 wide open.

I seem to be getting more in focus shots than my D7000. Even though I had it repaired by Nikon about the back focus issue, I sometimes felt like the green dot indicator was off. The D600 seems to be spot on.

HMMMM looks a little soft to me Leighton

Actually, if anyone is curious, this man has exactly 258 eyebrow hairs. I counted.

D6000

(sorry - I've been saying they should have called it a D8000)

To be honest, I wasn't sure at first. The raw files out of the D7000 are great, and at first I didn't see a whole lot of difference. But the more I've worked with the D600 files (including the jpegs) the more I like them. The added resolution is nice in that you can crop away without much if any loss in IQ.

I shoot exclusively with MF lenses and I seem to have a higher keeper rate with the D600. I think perhaps the focus indicator on my D7000 may have been off, but I have no proof of that.

The other pluses would be the viewfinder and the size of the body. The viewfinder is awesome coming from the DX, unbelievably large and bright. The body is slightly bigger than the D7000, but for me, this is a plus.

All-in-all, I love it! Good luck, it's not an easy decision. Hope this helps.
