Some years ago it was legal to grow small amounts of marijuana for your own personal use.
These two brothers moved from NYC, bought a historic lodge way out of town, and ran it for the tourist and local trade.
They didn't smoke weed, but they grew some in the hothouse- along with tomatoes, etc. The tourists loved seeing the tall and very pretty plants (not the tomato plants  ).
I drove tour buses at the time, and I'd stop because it was a historic old lodge. The old ladies practically ran to the hothouse to see the marijuana plants. I cautioned, "No samples, please." That got a hoot from them  .
