An excellent image, Martin, with lovely colour and detail. My inner symmetry freak did a minor aaargh as you just missed the tip of the bottom petal.

Thanks Lindsay.
I had the same though just after I posted it.
But then life and flowers are not always symmetrical

A very nice shot Martin. Have you tried a crop that moves the center of the flower off center?
Ron
Thanks Ron.
The shot was full frame so I cropped it off center.
I usually never do straight on centered shots but I liked this one like that.
I also like the off center one

Terrific shot Martin, you did a great job selecting this bloom, the way the colour fades out to the edges of the image really makes the composition for me.
Paul.
Thanks so much Paul for your considered comments!

Great shot..
Mind if I ak you, are the colours desaturated a bit or is it "as is"
No problem at all, the color is a bit stronger in this one than the RAW file with some added contrast so definitely no desaturation at all.
Thanks,
Martin

Been looking at this one a while buddy, something doesn't settle with me on the exposure, seems overexposed to me and a bit harsh. Maybe the fact that there is little to no shadowing makes it awkward for me or unnatural in my eyes.
Just my honest thoughts for my floral friend
