I am wondering if I could recored a voice message on this camera after I finished filling up an SD card. I'm going on a Safari leaving tomorrow and would appreciate getting this information because I don't think I'd have enough time to write notes while riding on the vehicle.

Not knowing anything about the lumix 5 and i assume this continues on from your thread on the canon forum, here's a suggestion .

Does the lumix have a video mode with sound .? If it does then record a short video with all your info on.

Or you could do much the same with a mobile phone.

Or you could pick up a GPS tracker (maybe your mobile can do do this) . And then when you get back you can compare the GPS time/place info against your shot times in the image exif
