The shot from the Sears (I won't call it Willis) Tower turned out well for being behind glass.

I've heard there is a mythical photog that sometimes camps by the bean and chases off other serious-looking people with nice gear. Did you see the beast?

Chicago is an awesome city, I'll be there for a few days this Saturday for a family event.

How early did you get to Millenium Park that there were so few people there? Every time I go, even in the early mornings, there are people everywhere.

And I agree, that shot from the Sears tower is awesome, the last time I was up there, it was so hazy that none of the shots were worth keeping.

Nope, didn't see any mythical photog beasts...

we went at 6am in the morning, just as the sun was getting up. it's serene, peaceful, and completely devoid of anybody!

Which bridge did you shoot the night shot from?

I'll be in Chicago for the first time this coming week and hope I can get some shots worthy to share as well.

You can get that shot by going to the Lakeshore drive bridge, near Navy Pier. Beware though - it's very shaky with cars passing by. I had my tripod, but i'm not sure if it helped or hurt.
