A few from a quick family session I did for a friend last weekend. She wanted to give her dad a surprise set of new family photos, so I showed up for some backyard snaps prior to his birthday party. CC always welcome!

Very nice series of shots. Like the last one... looks like they were having fun. Nice memories.

Only thing in the scene I would remove would be the windows... as my eye was drawn to them... pulls a little attention away from the subjects.

Nice work.

Number 4 mum will love forever...As hatch said the windows are a little distracting as is the fence in the first as it's going through their heads.

I know you had to stop down a little and shot at a different angle but prefer it in 5 better as a bit more blurred and less distracting

Overall a nice set of images

Very well done! Loved this set.

In addition to #1 and the windows, try a crop of #5 to remove windows. Much better, methinks.

^^ Thanks guys.

Re: the windows I was a bit limited in terms of background, as the back yard was long and narrow. I had to pick between having a very prominent tree trunk in the background or having the windows, so it was a "pick your poison" kind of thing.

Maybe I should have cloned them out, but I didn't think of it, frankly..

Jim: I guess I could have shot a few more from the elevated position (like in # 1) to get rid of some of the windows though. That's a good thought.

^^ Yes, this was definitely a more posed, formal shoot! Thanks
