The only way to be sure of catching a train is to miss the one before it.
Gilbert K. Chesterton

Standing along side a railroad crossing as Union Pacific trains roll by every 15 minutes each carrying countless tons of freight. I wonder where it has comes from and how long till it reaches the final destination.

A couple of these have been cross posted in different forums, sorry for the inconvenience if you've had to look at my photos more than once.

C&C appreciated.

http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/Officials-Investigate-Lisbon-Train-Accident-171816371.html

Today on my morning commute a freight train collided with an SUV at the intersection where I took these photos. The elderly lady was pronounced dead at the scene. I arrived at the crossing maybe 5 minutes after it happened. I'm pretty much at a loss for words. I spent a decent amount of time scouting the location last week looking for good vantage points/times of day etc and my perception of the intersection changed drastically this morning.
