What problems do you see shooting in overcast conditions?
How about in low light interiors? Like in old churches or houses. Not 'available darkness' but exposures in dimly lit and shadowed areas?
Any blocking of shadows in these conditions?
It works when its overcast, don't get me wrong, but just not quite as well as when its getting nice full spectrum daylight. Accurate color is always a bit tricky with the Merrill's, and a little more so under overcast or artificial light. I think its just due to the way the sensor is designed and the way certain wavelengths are going to be more or less present, for lack of any better technical guess.
I personally don't really find it a great camera for low light photography either, blacks can block up a bit and sometimes you can get some odd color issues on long exposures. Few seconds is usually fine, but when we start talking 10-20 seconds (max is 30 by the way) it can get a little odd sometimes. Not so much increased noise, as the files stay pretty clean, but just artifacts and such can show up.
Still can give a nice file with some tweaking, but not quite the knock your socks off "wow" factor you get when shooting under bright daylight
