Acutance: (Miscellaneous Technologies / Photography) a physical rather than subjective measure of the sharpness of a photographic image
Acuity is less specific: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/acuity

Thank you for this, but we are ended with a complicated "case" if we shall continue.
My friend Carstenw wrote or intpretated what I wrote as:
"magical property"
but the words I used was crispness/clarity/brillance, perhaps the word acuity is better, but can we not stop it with just saying: some can see it, some can not, and perhaps it is subjective.
MingThein also see it, but perhaps he is better to explain it ?

I should add. to myp.7 #4:
I did NOT see this crispness/clarity, (whatever) obvious on my screen, even it is fine, Dell U 2711, but I saw it first "clear" when printed out and hanging beside other huge prints from other cameras.

And also no problems with my stationary - tryed 10 Sigma RAWS from DP2Merrill - and faster than my laptop (it should be= 3.9GHZ, 240SSD and 32 GB RAM) and very smooth= No problems at all so I am ready and I will contact my netdealer now by a mail.
In fact he is waiting for it, and can get it for me from another country

LLoyd Chambers has just arrived after a long photo-trip.
He writes a lot, read it yourself, the link is below, scroll a bit down, but this is interesting:
""To my considerable surprise, I began to prefer the Sigma DP1M to using the Sony NEX-7 or the Fuji X-Pro1 or even the Olympus E-M5, because the Sigma DP1 Merrill produces such amazingly detailed images from its excellent lens with so little fuss— set the aperture, perhaps adjust exposure compensation and you’ll get a sharp image way beyond what other compacts can deliver in the 14-20 megapixel range.""

Very brief translation: lots of discussion about this and that and pixel size and acuity vs. acutance etc, but in the end he simply sees something he likes in the D700 photos which he doesn't find in D3x photos, in A3+ size prints.

It looks like Adorama has the DP2M in stock. I don't see any backordered warnings anywhere on that page. Adorama
And B&H shows DP1M in stock
When you add the DP2M to your cart, Adorama still shows a "*Note: This item is currently back ordered from the Mfr. We have no estimated time of a..." notice.

OK, but a bit short:
Of course I will never say, that the D700 is better than the D3x,the opposite is the truth = The D3x is clearly better all in all, but sometimes the reality is not so .....
.....short described, it is like you have got a newer car, and it is better all in all, and you will not go back, but some details with the old car was truly better, because the car- manufactor "forgot" to include that in the new model.
Does that make sense ?
Another thing. If it should be the reason, that the D600 in the areas - described by MingThein - is not as good as D3 and D700 , and that it is a stronger AA-filter, that is the reason, and you have no problems with moire, well, then it is not good, that the AA-filter is stronger,
...but I stick to my own interpretations and not this interpretation.
----
And I have to repeat it again: It is first seen for real, when you print out huge looking side by side.and again therefore MingTheins words about better "crispness" made a lot of sense for me.
