Or at least confirmation that it doesn't have any AF issues, LCD green tint issues, etc...

Forgive me for being cynical, but when Nikon doesn't allow 3rd-party repair shops to repair its product, and doesn't honor its warranty, well, I have better things to spend $2,200 on.

" Exactly, Yes there are a lot of D4's and D800/E that don't have the issues listed above, but the fact that Nikon allowed their high end cameras go out the door with these issues makes me a little skeptical to purchase a newly release product so quickly.

I think Nikon took it on the chin trying to get the D800 out so quick after the mess they are still dealing with. Not making excuses for them just my thought on what happened then they dealt with it terribly. I'm sure a lot had to do with trying to beat Canon to the gates but still a black eye they'll have for a long time. So far I've seen one complaint about the green tint on screen of the D600 and will see as time goes on. I'll be getting mine next week and can't wait to see results of it. It's as close to the specs I was wanting in my next camera and my first time getting one so close to a release date so I'll see. My D7000 and D700 have been great and now going with this style and saying goodbye to my trusty D700
