As I know, the PAR Reflector emits parallel hard light, it may not have the focus point as their spotlight accessory. I don't know if Elinchrom's maxispot is an identical modifier to PAR Reflector. Btw, "parallel" is quite impossible as the source itself would have to be infinitely small. Alternatively the Satellite comes to my mind.... though expensive. I noticed that the interior finish of PAR Reflector is glossy and mirror-like, so it will create a very hard shadow second to bare bulb but with much more efficiency.(I don't use bare bulb because of the reflection from the wall) Eli 10" HP reflector, Maxispot 29 deg & PCB Retro-Laser's finish are all glossy but not mirror-like, I believe the hard shadow effect will be less. However, I found some halogen-bulb reflectors which has shiny coating as the PAR Reflector. (They are similar in size & shape) I am thinking to make one for myself. PS. So I am about 4 blocks from South Maple! How long ago were you here? For school? I like Ann Arbor. Michigan economy sucks & winters such when it is grey from Novemner to April.. was actually nice and sunny last winter! We moved back here from Colorado in 2000. I also heard about the economic depression. Many shops were closed in Briarwood mall. Sad to hear some of my friends lost their job when Pfizer decided to close their plant in north campus. At different angle with 600RX I used epoxy to attach the mount and reflector. Some epoxy is spilled out, I should make it look better. DIY Maxilite reflector At different angle. Some thoughts. The authentic PAR Reflector from Broncolor is a much smaller reflector. However, this is the smallest shining reflector I could find on the market. Sep 29, 2012 at 01:54 PM
