François, I look forward to and study each of your posts with envy and appreciation. I seldom comment because my noise would become repetitive and in that, perhaps lose a bit of the intended sincerity.
I just really, really enjoy what you do.
Your imagination, handling of light, powerful simplicity – and your models'/partners' talent and compliance – all compliment and yet simultaneously overshadow their beauty. Each of your models are splendid and sublime in their own right. But they become more when they become yours. I imagine they know that and love what you do together.
In the most complex and simplest of terms, you (and they) make us see beauty, light, shadow, form – and ideas – so eloquently.
All that said, the real reason for my post: I’d ask that you not mop the floor. Ziggy’s gently soiled soles add to the character and texture of the photo. Great tones of light and dark and an appealing edge to such a pristine image.
Grit and “imperfections” can be so pleasing to the eye and mind.
