What a great cityscape, did you use your 24-70 for that...postcard/poster, mural material there...way cool!

Thanks! I actually used my 70-200 IS II and this is a stitch of nearly 20 images. The resolution of it is nuts.

Will, I'll reiterate WoW!

20 stitched images, resolution is stunning, that's something I've never tried. Were some of your previous cityscape posts; the ones with the water running through them, also stitched? Your images are so crisp I thought perhaps they are HDR as well.

I just picked up CS6 but have not had time to review/use it yet. Any suggested readings on stitching and/or other software. I've a hunger for learning, trying new technique

I with Jerry, that's pretty awesome Will. Am I seeing a slightly curved roofline on the shorter building in the centre? Has a (very slightly) concave look in the middle but perhaps this is an architectural feature. Very cool shot!

Thanks to both of you. This was not an HDR picture. Just handheld. The river ones are single exposures as well.

That concave roof line is a building feature - I assume to contrast with the upper most portion of the building.

Here is a 100% crop w/o any sharpening applied to get a feel of the resolution.

The auto stitch feature of CS6 does a pretty good job. I then transformed the pictures - typically the distort/skew command and pull the corners. It does a fantastic job.

Like when I had to stitch these together:

Will, I'm glad to see your views of your new town; you're making Chicago look as good as you did NYC...

Here's a "waterscape" with a 24-105L and polarizer, and a fireside family scene made with a 70-200 f/2.8 II...

I've used the in camera HDR feature of the 5DIII a few times; I find it...interesting, but I'd rather do it myself with software. I'm finding that the resulting HDR jpeg is not much different from the middle exposure of the three, at least using the "Natural" setting. Maybe I'm not setting enough stops' difference between frames, so I'll keep trying...any thoughts out there? BTW, the waterfall is not an HDR, it's just the middle of three brackets processed in LR4.

Those are beautiful, Manhattan yes, across from the East and then Hudson River? Or is it reversed

My lady is from RI and due to job requirements has a few times been out your way to move their satellite offices; network gear/servers. One day I'll get back there...

Really love the sweeping panos, blues are a fave color

Good Evening,

From my afternoon walk around the woodlands at and near my home. Just the 5D with the 24-105L kit lens and a C-PL attached.

Regards,

Edd

Beautiful, Edd; I especially like the second - the row of rocks is the key to the composition, in my humble opinion...
