p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Will auto-extension tubes also control aperture? 18-200mm and 35mm

I've got a trip planned to China and possible Mongolia. I'm bringing my Nikon D300, a Canon T2i (video), Tokina 11-16mm (Nikon Mount), Nikon 35mm f/1.8, and Nikon 18-200mm (Nikon Mount). I need to pack as light as possible. Also throwing in a GoPro HD2.

I'm buying this to mount my two Nikon lenses to the Canon:

http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapter-D-Type-EOS-camera/dp/B008BBIBOM/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1347760276&sr=1-8&keywords=nikon+lens+canon+adapter

I want to buy this for mounting on the 35mm and 18-200mm for macro photos on the Nikon and macro videos on the Canon. For the Canon it would be Nikon Lens + Extension Tubes + Fotodiox Nikon>Canon Converter + T2i

http://www.amazon.com/Zeikos-ZE-CVAFN-Focus-Macro-Extension/dp/B003IVZVDO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1347761825&sr=1-1&keywords=nikon+auto+extension+tubes

I'm not buying the auto extension tubes for the autofocus, but I want it to be able to control the aperture on these Nikon lenses. Trying to focus while the lens is manually stopped down to f/8 for example sucks. I want to compose and focus wide open, and have the camera automatically stop down to the selected aperture to shoot the photo.

Nice! I thought that aperture control was done via a physical lever on the lens? The Kenko set actually has a mechanical linkage from the camera's lever all the way to the lens' lever?

So the Kenkos actually have levers moving inside it to control aperture on a mechanical lens?

I bought that very same Zeikos set for my sister this spring. Those tubes have the mechanical linkage needed to move the aperture tab, they even have the AF-D screw to focus older lenses. Though I'm sure the Kenko tubes are of a better build quality.
