This new scanner has the same specs as their 7600Ai does, except it's hardware/software seems more targeted/optimized for 64-bit systems. I've seen results from the 7600 and they're pretty good, quite close the the Nikon 5000 scanners. The major difference is claimed DR, the Plustek are about 3.6, Nikon's are above 4.0+
The scanner to look for is their upcoming, not released yet, OpticFilm 120
