p.1 #1 · Just one.. what can improve?

What can I improve with this photo OR the next time when I do a similar setup? (other than asking God to make it rain)

I love this shot - but I'd take out the shadow his head is casting on the umbrella and maybe crank down the fill light on the faces (but then again I like high drama/contrast photos).

you could clone out the light stand between the b&g.

just curious: why an umbrella if there is no rain?

Lose the umbrella and cut in on the people (like elbows to head). The Umbrella adds nothing and neither does the illuminated ground. It is a photo about 2 people, focus on the 2 people.

Agree, the umbrella looks weird because obviously it's not raining and it is dark outside ... so it just doesn't make sense.

But I completely agree with TRR's suggestion! That'll look quite nice.

Without them holding the umbrella, they wont be lit at the front. Are you saying to just photoshop out the umbrella? Interesting.....

Yeah.. I dont have Hoffer super power yet to get rain whenever he wants.

Or maybe the fact that I only do a handful of weddings and I live in Colorado hahaaha.
