Well yesterday Mr Sanders put up a post trying to provoke me to go shoot hummers with him one last time for the season. I got up before the sun and it was a clear morning so I decided I would in fact join him. Come to think of it, I should have called him, it was 5:30, I'm sure he would have been up

Anyway we had a blast on an absolutely beautiful morning.

A sunny day to be sure. Two bookend sunflowers to keep those amazing hummer shots together. I was up at 5:00 to...but that's 2am your time...bet you are glad I didn't call YOU!
Don't you get bored being so good?..Where's the challenge?

That yellow flower thingy turned out better than I imagined with your skillful techs buddy

Dazzling!!!

#2 Pollen Head is looking fine in the early light and gorgeous BG with those garden colors coming alive

Sure glad one of the gardeners planted those blue flower cup thingies

What a beautiful Hummer to compliment it!

Agree! I love the angle of attack on this guy and a great backside view of emerald.

5 is a beaut and you stopped him cold so we can see that wonderful wing detail

6 comes in as fav in this exemplory series my friend, love everything about it

Said it so many times before and you know I'll say it again

Great set with #2 being my favorite, Tim. Hard to believe it was shot at ISO 3200.

There is a certain fascination that goes with a good hummer shot hovering at a flower, you have had many a great one Tim

However it is #2 that really grabs me this time, perfectly perched, a delightful floral bokeh of a BG and a darn good look at this tiny treat

Though I do like the sheer vibrance and pattern of #1 SF, I do find the very last one to be the shot with the most finesse! A tad more contrast or a little less yellow saturation and it comes alive even more, I like its pose as if it were looking for some privacy
