Someone offered one of these setups for sale, around $600usd used. The gitzo is new but the kangrinpoche or whatever it is is a tad older. Whats your take on this? The ballhead comes with a quick release plate p4 (or something). From whatever i've read for kangrinpoche, it's been good reviews all round.
I like the gitzo specs, but for the price its got me thinking hard - i've never really used a tripod, though i've got 2 wide lenses which could do with some stability for longer exposures (24mm and 14-24mm), might try filters down the road but for now the only use apart from longer exposures would be to hold my flash while i do macro photography. But like many say, if you get a good tripod once it'll last a lifetime, and i think i could do with a decently light tripod for travel and to bring for walkarounds. I did ask a tripod question a while back but never really budged until i came across this deal.
