This has probably been covered before. If so, would appreciate the link.

Looking for a formula for calculating an actual file size for export to the internet, using the pixel dimensions, and resolution in CS5 for jpeg files. Iím assuming CS5 is utilizing the compression density selected in the camera. File size shown at the bottom of CS5 images never seems to be the same as file size shown on posted images.

There is no accurate formula because it depends on what's in the picture.

A pure rectangle of any color will be much smaller than a sharpened file with lots of detail.
