I didn't see them in the morning or evening so I had to bite the bullet and shoot them at noon at 35ºC/ 95ºF.
Also I didn't bring my macro lens so I did use my 300f4 with 1.4TC instead.

What a cool series although shot in the heat of the day. Go figure. I have never seen one of these or their American counterparts in person and your shots especially 4-6 really show their likeness to hummingbirds. Nicely done and good job with less than optimal equipment.
Well presented series. Shooting hummer moths are much like hummingbirds. The point, you have to get faster ss than 1/800 when they are hovering. I would suggest with great light ISO 1600 and ss of 1/1600 or higher.
