End-of-file PShop problems.....

I accidentally deleted a folder of images some weeks back. I have used a recovery programe that has identified the files and recovered them to a new folder.

Some are seriously corrupted but most will pre-view in Bridge but when I try to open them I get the 'end-of-file-error' message.

The files themselves are the sort of size I would expect (around the same as a normal uncorrupted file working normally).

Can anyone suggest a Mac programme for repairing corrupted PS files...ideally from personal experience?

Try copying the images to another drive (or USB drive) and then opening them from there. If you can't, then too much of the image has already been written over by subsequent system activity. A lot can happen on a computer in a few weeks.
