9. This guy is amazing. I read about him in LAVA magazine a month before the race. I talked with his mom at the swim start and didn't know it until after talking with her for 20 minutes. Anyway, this guy has done multiple Ironman races AND, he always walks the marathon with his full fireman gear, including an SCBA (air tank) on his back! And it was HOT that day. In the 80s during the marathon.
