Canon recently released the Firmware 2.0 update to their highly successful EOS-7D camera. Many people think this means the MK II model will not come out for a while. I disagree with that assessment. If you look at the new features of Firmware 2.0, nothing was done to .....
With all due respect to Mr Ho, I don't believe it for the short/mid term.
Eventually, the 7D will be "improved" -- no doubt about it. Whether they call it a 7DII or something else is irrelevant. Its inevitable that a "better" 1.6 crop body will come from Canon at some point..... I would be shocked if this happened before the latter months of 2013.
Just my .02 and that's about all its worth since its pure speculation based on absolutely nothing but my instincts.
