If I'm not mistaken, those are just vinyl stickers.
From the press release
"Torsten Rachu, who is responsible for the conception and creative implementation of the designs, has decades of experience in airbrush design. His customers include the global players BlackBerry, Electronic Arts, Disney, Siemens, Sega, Sky, Sony, Nokia, Nintendo, Eidos, Micky Maus Magazin, Microsoft, Bombardier Transportation, Coca- Cola, Haribo, Warner Music, O2, Otis, etc. He has even designed a mobile phone for the Queen!"
So it's not vinyl . It's airbrush.
There ain't no way I'd send anything of mine away to be painted. That's a one way street to no resale value .
As far as I know every piece is unique. Those pimped bodies and lenses are ART. And expensive like hell!!! - saw a D4 with two lenses at ebay for € (EURO) 18.000! Starting price to bid, of course! ;-)
Instead of the regular shop price around 13.000 € here in germany. An price increasement of 5000 € minimal! Direct purchase offer is additional 7.500 € (25.500 € => 31.454,26 $ ).
A photographer would buy a second body and half a dozend of great lenses instead, I guess.
Anyway this camera will find a buyer. But I would say it will end in a vitrine from beginning and never be used as a camera.

Seems I was mistaken then! I was thinking of those lens skins things.

Well if it was painted with puppies and unicorns... I'd buy my lenses in black if that was an option from Canon. Instead, they have to wear super attractive black tube sock tops. My 300L looks like the legs of an elderly Floridian. Waaaah.
I'd rather pimp my camera with simple appointments like ruby shutter, set and DOF buttons, diamond AEL and AF-on buttons, gold plated screw heads and snakeskin grip cover. If you had the entire body chrome plated it would be so reflective it would essentially become invisible.

I don't use a big white lens much for archaeology so don't have much trouble with the skulls.
As for the other - I just look carefully before I put the lens down!
Sorry, folks, I think this is fantastic. Not for a pro out on a job of course, but if were loaded to the max (money and beer), I would do it - not with the loudest of colors but I do think it is cool.
