p.1 #1 · Damaged CR2 files

I'm not sure how, but my computer and my camera are not recognizing the CR2 files.

They show up in the finder on OSX but will not open in any program.

I put the card back into the camera and the camera could not read the files either. I took a new picture on that same card and that photo looks fine and opens in OSX and in the camera.

Does anyone know of a way to recover the files?

You need to install a program like Lightroom, CS5, or the viewer from Application disk that came with your camera.

Thanks Jerry.

But this is not a question about how to view Raw formatted files.

I have Lightroom and CS5 and Photo Mechanic.

This is a question of restoring CS2 files that these programs and the camera that took them (1DmIV) not being able to view the files.

Does anyone know of a program that will restore these files so they can be read with Lightroom or CS5?
