Each has merit, but I prefer the composition (play of the many intersecting diagonals) and varied textures of the metal in #1.

The Ducati in #1 is nice, it is my second choice.

I like the one that you submitted for the WA, the Ferrari. What Ferrari is that from, I have been trying to figure it out since you posted it.

#4, the second Ducati, I like the image, but the Carbon Fiber stands out more for me than the metal does.

Thanks everyone for their input. I am glad that a number of the images work well.
My personal favorites are the Ferrari Lights blue-toned image and the BW Ducati image. However, I decided that the Ducati image was "mixed" with too much carbon fiber.
Looks like a number of strong entries. Voting begins Sept 1.

Scott I think number 1 for me. I agree that the carbon fiber, while cool, is too mixed for just metal.

Thanks for adding your opinions.I am glad several images vie for favorite among you guys and others commenting. And among my off-line friends, photographers.
I decided to use the Ferrari Lights I think out of a combination of feedback, my own personal like, and also because I feel it fell into the Most Improved category, requiring the most processing and finesse to finish the image. And I love BW interpretations, although the actual lights were pretty mono-chromatic anyhow.

Here is the starting image, unprocessed, downsized from RAW to jpeg.
