We are just about to buy a WT-4 transmitter to work with the D700 & D800. Wow those suckers are pricey!

It looks like they use the same battery as the D700, which I thought was being made obsolete by new Japanese battery regulations. Any rumours of an update that uses different batteries ?

What is your personal experience of using the WT-4 - or perhaps alternatives? This will be used mainly at events where we need the shot over to the computer ASAP without having to be tethered.

Thanks for the offer, but by the time we ship it to the UK and pay the import duties I'm not far off buying a new one with UK warranty.....
