I would like suggestions on how to improve my skills.
Camera was a Nikon D60 and the lens was a Nikon 50mm 1.4G.

And when you want us to look at multiple images, post them both in the same thread. The FM rule is one new topic/post per day in each forum. But you can post multiple pictures in each topic/post.

It's really not that big of a deal, most people aren't aware of it when they first join. You can go to your original post, click on the edit link, and then add the image tag and your pic will now be imbedded in your original post.

I like this image. No objection to the composition, pose, processing DOF. Great looking woman.

There will be comments about the hair in her left eye.

The one feature that detracts, in my view, is the white window jamb that erupts from her head. Had the window not been on axis with her head, I'd have no objection. Since the drainpipe in the BG already adds interest, the window jamb could probably be eliminated without rendering the shot too sterile or contrived.

The color of the brick is very overpowering to my eyes. Try to de-saturate the entire image see if you like it. Maybe even a BW version would look good.
