This is nothing new, and after some of the first, impatient buyers jump in, there is a good chance that many of the lenses will be available at prices that are a bit lower. Remember. Again, I've often observed an initial increase like this with previous (instant or otherwise) rebates, often leading to a lot of angry teeth-gnashing arguments. Trust me that it isn't worth the debate. Just be a bit patient and if the lens you really want is included in the rebate there is a very good chance that in a few weeks or a bit more you will find that the price goes back to the previous level and you'll save a few more dollars.
