Apple could torpedo both Photoshop and Illustrator with one app.
I would love it.
It would be an awfully slow torpedo, given the entrenchment of PS.
Adobe cut the price of Lightroom in half because of Aperture. I'll bet an Apple program targeted at Photoshop -- and reasonably priced -- would result in a similarly dramatic price reduction in Photoshop.
I'd not read about Aperture software before, but it appears to be for Apples only.
However if the Apple software is lowering the price of LR or PS for Windows, I'm not complaining.

I recieved a $400 off offer from B&H today. Total price after rebate is $250.
I don't really care what Apple comes out with. I have Adobe CS6 Production Premium. There are 5-6 major applications, depending on how you count them, for video & still images.
I am totally commited to that suite for at least the next 2 years. It is an absolutely great suite, with excellent performance.
