p.1 #1 · DPP picture sharp - not sharp by opening in Windows.

Processed a photo Raw - Tif - Jpeg with Canon DPP.
When I open the picture on my Monitor from DPP it is tack sharp. Opening from Windows-file it is not sharpened. By uploading to web it is also not sharpened.
Same procedure from PS it stays sharp even by opening from Windows.
Can anybody help me
Thanks,
Hans

Windows resizes it with a cheap but fast algorithm just for viewing. They don't show real pixels.

You need to sharpen in the software, in three phases.

1) Minimal capture sharpening in Raw conversion: 2 or 3 in Canon DPP scale of 10.

2) Creative edge sharpening in Photoshop.

3) Output sharpening after final resize; use slightly stronger for printing.

Thanks, Monito
I'm aware of the difference between capture sharpening and output sharpening and also different sharpening for printing.
In this case I tried to use only DPP for doing the whole process up to the posting here in my FM gallery because my pre PS 6 software expired a couple of days ago.
Of course I did the final sharpening after re sizing ( actually I did all the sharpening as you described)
The strange thing is that the final Jpeg picture opened in DPP shows a nice sharpened pic but if I upload to my gallery or open the picture from the same location in Windows it shows the pic without any done sharpening from DPP.
